Summary: The hotel behind Saifee Hospital. A side entrance a bit difficult to locate. No elevators..one has to climb 2sets of stairs/2x21=42 straight steps!!! Few rooms smelled high humidity.. the whole inside walls was tiled with what looks like rcream bricks and outline done with green marble. Positive:
Great location near shops, train station, walkable to Central Mumbai area, good big bed deluxe big room, clean.
Negative:
They don't provide toilet paper ! noisy employees all night in the corridor and front desk staff screaming with clients at 10pm, breakfast is at extra charge.
When you walk in.. the brick walls all over is overwhelming with narrow corridors without any pictures !!! climbing 42 steps to reception from the ground level.. something they should advise clients. Soap dish, liquid soap dispenser and sink could use some serious cleaning. Air condition on/off is controlled from and by front DESK.. something never seen before at any of the +1000 hotels I have stayed at.
This hotel has a Great potential but without proper lift and amenities .. it unfortunately can only get just passing marks. Not for elderly couples..or clients with health issues and if you are traveling with heavy luggage. I did make the suggestion to the front Manager. I hope they change things for the better.
