Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: For breakfast, you could choose between Japanese or Western style. There was plenty to eat. The staff were very friendly and happy. The hotel was close to the JR station, and there were umbrellas provided if required. Free coffee is available in the afternoon/evening.

Negative: The onsen for the women was very small and often too crowded. There were only a couple of shower stalls. I can't comment on the men's facilities - there was a sauna for them, but not for the women. The evening we tried to have the complimentary ramen, there were too many people waiting, even just a few minutes after the service began. It must have been good.

Summary: Tsuruga Manten hotel is convenient, with excellent staff, and exceptionally clean
