Positive: The owner is amazing. So friendly and welcoming. He helped us with everything we asked for and even lent us winter jackets because the temperature dropped unexpectedly during the time of our visit. The best service ever, to be honest. We also had help to arrange a driver to see the world famous mud-flats and, extensive sea weed farm area, which is not to be missed. The driver knew all the best spots and we had an amazing day. The hotel is very modern and tastefully decorated. We booked a room with a lake view which also overlooks towards the city and faces the sunsetting behind a nearby hill. There is also a roof terrace with the same view. Absolutely loved it. There’s a fantastic restaurant a couple of doors down selling amazing value seafood and local delicacies.

Negative: Quite honestly, no complaints! The only minor detail for improvement is that you need a Mandarin speaker to operate the voice activated fittings in the room, such as the lights, curtains and climate control, but these things can be manually operated in any case. Other travellers may prefer the convenience of something nearer the station or city, but we loved the setting - about 10 minutes drive out of town to a nearby satellite residential area by the small mountain and man-made lake.
