Summary: Lovely, quiet property. Location was fantastic for what we wanted to see and do in Kyoto during our short stay. However there was a total lack of instructions and communication from the manager. No check-in instructions were sent, no replies to my message sent through VRBO two days prior to our arrival. We arrived on-site to find no one there to help us check in and no access to the unit. Luckily there was a family in the other rental unit who had the host's tel # and we were able to call and get the combination to the lock-box with the key.
