Please note that for safety reasons, each villa can only accommodate a MAXIMUM OF FIVE PERSONS ONLY. Babies, infants and children must be included in the guestcount.
Newly opened in June 2015, this villa is part of a private estate owned by a Malaysian family. Built by a loving grandfather as an enduring gift to his grandchildren, Terang Bulan has six villas in total, each named after an aspect of the moon. The estate is tucked at the foot of a small hillock that is home to a typical Langkawi village. It is bordered by working paddy fields on three sides, with vistas that stretch to the Matchinchang Mountain Range in the distant northwest.
Despite its pastoral surroundings, Terang Bulan is only 4.5 km from Pantai Chenang, Langkawi's most popular tourist strip.
Ideal for families, groups and couples who want a tranquil setting to rest, re-connect and escape from their busy lives.
Master bedroom: 1 King-sized bed with en suite bathroom and access to central open-air courtyard
Guest bedroom: 2 single beds with detached bathroom
A fifth person can be accommodated on a spare mattress placed in the master bedroom.
All bedrooms have fans and air-conditioning. First set of linens are provided. Additional linen changes provided with extra charge.
Each bathroom is equipped with hot/cold water showers, first set of towels and one travel-sized set of bath soap, shampoo and facial wash. Additional toiletries and towel changes are provided with extra charge.
Due to our estate's village location, TV and telephone reception is limited. The TV in your living room does not display any channels but has ports for you to plug in your own devices.
Kitchen is equipped with basic cooking amenities, gas stove, fridge, toaster and electric kettle, and basic crockery for four persons.
Housekeeping
Your villa rental comes with linens, towels and one set of travel toiletries (30 ml shampoo, 30 ml face wash and 15g bath soap) per bathroom.
Fresh linen and towels can be requested at an extra charge of RM50 per change for all bed linens and RM30 per change for all towels per villa. Additional toiletries can also be provided at RM15 per set.
Housekeeping is only provided for in your rental upon check-out. Should you require housekeeping services during your stay, it is chargeable at RM50 per visit of up to four hours.
Guest access
All six villas in Terang Bulan have access to a common salt-water pool.
Pool operating hours are from 8 am to 9 pm.
Please note that the pool is 1.5 meters deep. Guests are solely responsible for their own safety when using the pool.
Interaction with guests:
Hosts from our friendly concierge service will lead you through check-in process. Guests will be provided a local concierge number to call for advice, assistance with travel/tour reservations any time from 8 am to 10 pm.
Please be advised that our concierges do NOT reside on the property. Therefore, guests are requested to kindly check-in on time as advised by you upon booking. Delayed arrivals may result in you having to wait for your host to arrive.

As a private estate, please bear in mind that we require your cooperation when living here as a member of our community.
We ask that you keep the noise down and kindly refrain from disruptive, lewd, inappropriate behaviour as not to offend the surrounding Muslim community and your immediate neighbours on the estate.
We take conservation seriously, and urge you to please be considerate when using precious resources like water and electricity. Turn off air-conditioning, lights and water when not in use and when exiting your villa.
Please do not litter or leave trash outdoors to prevent wild animals from accidentally ingesting inappropriate materials.
No feeding of wild animals please, as it disrupts their natural feeding cycles and the ecosystem.

Payment of additional items:
Any payments for additional items such as toiletries, etc/vehicle rentals/activities/groceries are payable in cash in Ringgit Malaysia upon delivery of said product or service.
Occupancy:
The villa can strictly accommodate up to 5 persons only (babies/infants/children included). Those violating the occupancy limit will be evicted immediately without refund.
Parking:
Each bungalow is allocated one vehicle space only as parking space is limited.
Privacy:
Premises are family - oriented. Noises are to be kept to a minimum to ensure privacy to other guests. Management reserves the right to warn or vacate guests off premises for any indecent, lewd, unsociable and / or undesirable behaviour.
Smoking:
No smoking inside the bungalows except on the outside deck.
Children:
Children under 14 are to be accompanied by adults at all times.
Pets:
No pets allowed.
Disposal of garbage:
There is no public waste disposal service at Terang Bulan. Kindly dispose of garbage in the proper receptacles in your villa, or dispose of them in the larger disposal bin located near the reception area.
