Positive: Basically I like everything about the Teahouse Hotel (住茗公館). On my previous trips to Xiamen, I always stayed at international chain hotels. This time, I spotted “Teahouse Hotel" which was newly listed on Booking.com and was instantly drawn to its distinctive style. Before my arrival, the hotel sent me contact details, and offered to meet me at the G/F entrance on my arrival (to help with my bags). Upon checking in, Xiao Zhu at the front desk and the owners were exceptionally warm and attentive, showing me around the hotel’s shared spaces and my room. I could truly feel the care they put into every detail — the design, decor and vibes were even more appealing than the photos online, with thoughtful touches throughout. Location-wise, it was right on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street with plenty of eateries and shops around. It only takes less than 15 minutes to walk to the Xiamen ferry pier and a leisurely stroll to Shapowei takes around 45 minutes. I would highly recommend Teahouse Hotel to anyone visiting Xiamen! One small note: As the hotel is on the 2/F and 3/F (三樓、四樓) in a historic building, there are stairs to climb — I just treated it as part of my daily exercise!
