Summary: The hotel was lovely but we were disappointed with the rooms. It was an expensive holiday and the standard rooms are quite basic - a shower in a glass cubicle with a toilet next to it. The basin is actually in the room itself. I would expect a lovely complete bathroom for the price. We would stay again but don’t book a standard room. The spa treatment centre is not good. You expect a certain ambience in the rooms and reception area. My friend and I both had treatments where we were shown into a small white room with bright lights which were just switched off at the start and switched on again at the end. It should be a beautiful experience and it was not. The room I was in had bubbling paint and rust patches on the ceiling The pool area, breakfast and restaurant were lovely. We would stay again but upgrade our rooms and avoid the spa
