Positive: The hotel is undergoing renovations and the rooms look much better than the ones in the pictures on booking. I assume they did not have time to update them yet as the renovations are not fully done. The room was very spacious and clean and the bed super comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised by the shuttle bus service they offered to Kyoto Central Station (we used it to catch our train to Tokyo).
