Travel Purpose: business

Positive: I got this place at a discount due to the time I traveled. I think for the lower price it was a great stay but due to the issues I encountered I would choose somewhere else to stay if the price was at their regular rate.

Negative: There were some things that could use improvement, like the onsen/hot tub being closed for 5 days because it was going through repairs. I stayed at OUR OUR close to a month so this was pretty annoying. They did offer a complimentary coffee during certain hours in the morning to make up for it, but this didn't work for me since I'm a night owl. The onsen/showers/and washing machine is also not available from 10am-4pm due to cleaning which might not seem like a long time when booking but when you're there it definitely is. There is no water station available to refill your water although there is a one on the 5th floor with a big sign that says not to refill your water bottle. The lighting in the dorm bathrooms is unusable for putting on make up since the position of the lighting casts dramatic shadows on your face. I visited during the winter and the nighttime heater made the sleeping space too hot. During the day they would play loud music in the dorms which I found weird since I'm sure people are sleeping. I don't understand why they play music especially when conversation is discouraged in the dorms. The cafe isn't very accessible and the staff makes you feel unwelcome for sitting in the space during cafe hours, so this was also a bit awkward. You can use the 2nd floor lounge for eating but this space would also get crowded. The coffee and donuts were a bit pricey. Not a very social hotel.

Summary: The highlight was definitely the onsen.
