Positive: Lovely spacious house in a convenient location to explore Kyoto. Initially, I was concerned that the area looked a little downmarket, but it was perfectly safe, and the locals we met were very friendly. The hosts were very helpful in sorting out extra guests in our party. Just one bathroom with a separate toilet, which was fine for us. This house is a gem, and I'd highly recommend it!

Negative: The property was hard to find the first time—no English instructions for the washing machine.

Summary: Great stay - highly recommended!
